For the fourth straight September I’m, once again, searching for a job. Unfortunately, I’m becoming numb to all of this, especially when I see jobs that were posted in June popping up on the internet job searches, three months later. I doubt very much that those positions are still open.

By the way , that final panel is from the season 2 episode of The Flintstones called “The Missing Bus” (9/29/1961, yes, 57 years ago this month). Fred’s out of a job and winds up getting a job as a school bus driver. It’s very funny. In fact, the rule of thumb for The Flintstones are, any episode BEFORE Pebbles is born is very good. After she was born and it turned into a family friendly show… meh.
