Daily Comic Journal: September 10, 2018: “Apathetic Days.”
Unfortunately, I’ve had more days like this, since I was let go from my job in 2015 and let go from my job this year, then I care to say.
And I don’t see it getting any better.

Richard, I’ve followed your work for years. Love the discipline you exhibit in drawing and recording your life every day. I also respect the fact you keep at it, trying to land a new art gig. It’s impressive you have enough savings investing to support yourself for this long without permanent full time work. have you ever considered a career change, or starting in another field? I don’t mean to come across as disrespectful, I know days like these. And they seemed to go away when I was like ok…time to try and earn money and some sort of happiness another way.
Thanks for the kind words Stan! As much as I hope to draw a comic for every day, I’ve had gaps in the past. I missed posting some comics during the fall of 2016, when I was still unemployed. I was seriously considering giving u. I began to look at job openings for Post man, or warehouse worker, anything, when I realized, I couldn’t do it. Unlike many people in life, my career, what I do, is me. I can’t shake it.
