Unless you’re a fan of historical films, this movie won’t be for you.

By the way, if you’ll note in the title, this movie is called “The Directors Cut”. Why is that? Was there an original, non director’s cut released? Well, I swiped this from Wikipedia:

Co-produced by Harvey Weinstein and originally to be distributed by the Weinstein Company, the film was shelved and sold in November 2017 following the Harvey Weinstein sexual abuse allegations. It was eventually bought by Weinstein Company successor Lantern Entertainment, which then sold domestic distribution rights to 101 Studios. After discovering a final cut privilege clause in Scorsese’s contract, Gomez-Rejon convinced him to allow for reshoots and to trim ten minutes off the original version’s runtime, resulting in the film that was eventually released into theaters. The film was released in the United States on October 25, 2019.

So, I guess since they never released the original cut this may be the only Director’s Cut movie to be released that never had an original version. If that makes any sense.
