Daily Comic Journal: October 11, 2019: “A Shot In The Arm.”
I can understand that there are people, especially children, but adults as well, who are scared, maybe even deadly afraid of needles. There was a guy I worked with at K’NEX (I’m sure he probably even appeared in some of these comics back during 2010-2015) who refused to get a flu shot every year (they used to give them at our office) because of needles. In fact, he even went so far to refuse to ever go to a dentist, because he was terrified of the novocaine shot. And he was older than me. But this lady, who was probably in her 70’s, just wouldn’t shut up about the nurse and the shot.
Meh, it was nothing. Barely a pinch.
With this comic I’ve completed another sketchbook filled with these comics. This is the 21st book, 124 pages and I fit two comics on each page. I began these daily comics on February 18th, 2010. Here’s a short video of what my comics look like, drawn in my sketch book.
As you can see at the end of the video all of those sketchbooks stacked one on top of the other reaches just under 16 inches. Maybe I’ll keep doing these comics until I reach 3 feet. 🙂
Would be nice to see all of these printed in a book. If I only knew of some publishers…
That is an impressive body of work, Richard. Thanks for the effort.
