I suppose if I’d read the book this film is based off of first, I might have gotten more involved in the story and it’s hero, Lionel Essrog. I might have learned more about his daily battles with Tourette’s and how difficult it’s made his ability to work, function and be welcomed n 1950’s America. I got some of that while watching the movie but not enough to consider it great.
