I rewrote and redrew this particular comic several times. This news story pissed me off so much, the needless death of all those children, that my initial comic was full of anger. After a couple attempts I decided on this approach, pointing out the hypocrisy.

BTW, the “ghosts” in panel four are a take off of the invisible gremlins from the Family Circus comic strip. I couldn’t think of a better representation of how useless the old “Thoughts and Prayers”responses are to these mass killings
