The call to the IRS confirmed what I already suspected and knew, that there’s been nothing wrong with my filings over the years and that call was a scam. I wasn’t aware (don’t know why) that these scams have been so rampant recently, but I did make sure, after I spoke with the IRS agent, to report this incident on their site. I’d also like to add, if you receive a call from this number: 240-200-7498 with a Bethesda, MD area notification, it’s a scam. Report it.
