Daily Comic Journal: March 8, 2021: “The Rejections Have Begun.”
I’m a very stubborn and disciplined person (probably more stubborn than anything else) and even though I haven’t made a cent with these comics, I feel as if I need to record/write/draw one for every single day. It would be no surprise for anyone to know that it’s difficult to keep up to date, especially when I’m so determined to make them as detailed as possible. From 2010 thru early 2017 I had several gaps, where I fell behind and missed days, weeks and *gulp* months. Well, when I resumed, after a gap from late 2016 thru early 2017 I was DETERMINED not to let that happen again. Not because I had to, but because of my damn stubbornness. Well, with this piece, I’ve now drawn/recorded/written a comic for 1,460 consecutive days without a gap. Every day from March 8, 2017 to today, March 8 2021 has been recorded.
What does that mean?
Not a damn thing.
You do brilliant work and you should not give up; I remember being out of work for five years straight (taking odd jobs as they came my way) and every rejection letter only spurred me to work harded at finding employment, Rich. Keep on being stubborn.
Maybe “not a damn thing”, but some of us still visit every day and enjoy your efforts. Thanks (and I hope you were successful in your job search long before this comic was posted).
Thanks for the kind words. As I said, I can be quite stubborn (if there’s any truth to astrology signs, Taurus suits me) so I’ll keep drawing these comics, no matter what. As for my job search…. stay tuned.
