I’m sure I’ve touched upon this subject during the last few years that I was unemployed. Not being able to chip in, to help out, whether with gifts or birthday dinners like this, you feel so useless. So poor. After three decades of working, earning a living, I was always able to pay my fair share (and then some) but not so, during those 20-30 months of unemployment.

Today, I was not only happy that I could pay, but was extremely happy to do so for my mom with her birthday dinner. After all she’s done for me during my life this was only a drop in the bucket.
