Daily Comic Journal: March 28, 2021: “A Decade Without My Dad.”
Not every comic I draw are fun or observing things that frustrate me or I find to be odd. When you draw a comic based on a real life, sometimes the comics can be painful to write and draw.
If you’ve only been reading my comics over the last few years, there’s a pretty good chance that you’ve never read many of my older ones. If you’ve attempted to go back to the beginning, back when I started on February, 17, 2010, you probably didn’t go too far. Many of my older comics are poorly/roughly drawn and are word heavy. But times that I go back and read thru my older work I realize that there are many of those comics that are very good, if not that professional looking.
Back in 2011, in February and early March, I wrote/drew about first hearing that my father was ill and at the same time I adapted my two kittens. It wasn’t until Tuesday, March 29, 2011 that I had to draw the comic of my dad’s passing. If you’re curious and have never read them, please do so. I wish my drawing was more polished and as good as I’ve been doing over the last several years.
I also wish my father was still alive.
