That’s right. He just took off.
I did exactly what you’re supposed to do. If you get involved in a “fender bender” during heavy traffic, either pull over to the side or if there’s no shoulder (like here) you pull off to a side street.
If you look beyond the dirt, you can see the scratches his car left on my car’s rear bumper:
Well, my car’s almost 9 years old so I guess scratches like this should be expected for a car of this age and if he had pulled over with me (like he should have) I don’t think there would have been any way to come to turns to fix this. You know as well as I do, they would have to replace the entire bumper, which will cost A LOT of money and I doubt very much I could get this guy to have his insurance cover the cost. I was probably most pissed off that the jaggoff just drove away.
Lesson learned – memorize the license plate # before getting back in your car. Cops frown on “leaving-the-scene”.
