Daily Comic Journal: March 22, 2018: “A Vacant Vial.”
At this time I haven’t found a local doctor. There are a number of reasons why. First, my health care at work didn’t kick in until February. Second, I’m not sure exactly where I’ll be living and I’d like to have a doctor not too far from my home.
I can understand a doctor’s office being hesitant about continuing a prescription (though I was a bit surprised when the woman I initially spoke with didn’t know I’d moved far away, when I, in fact, had gone into the office to tell them I was moving, where I was moving and actually paying for copies of my records to take with me) but considering it’s medication that, you know, is preventive medicine, I didn’t expert such an unhelpful runaround. I am glad that she finally spoke with my former doctor and that my doctor called to let me have a final refill. Final until I get a doctor here.
