Daily Comic Journal: June 14, 2018: “Sacked.”
There’s not much more I can add here.
In my career I’ve been part of company-wide layoffs, with company’s failing, looking to cut the workforce and with a company that was sold. They hurt, but not like this. In my mind I’ve done nothing wrong. I put in long hours (without overtime) and worked hard but I’ve felt as if my hands have been tied almost from day one.
In a way, it’s a relief, considering how miserable I’ve been here, but having gone through a three year struggle, trying to find a job as a 50+ year old man in the 21st Century, I’m filled with fear.
I thought maybe you’d have quit before this point. At least the Marketing Head liked it. Hope your lead in Trafford panned out.
