Yes, Tootsie Roll was an extremely careful, non creative company. They bought Concord Confections in the summer of 2005 and kept us on as their long distance Art Department. When our lease was up at the end of the year they decided not to renew our lease and retain us. It was disappointing to lose our jobs, BUT, because of Tootsie Rolls’ attitude toward creative work, looking back, we were probably better off to not to be under their thumb anymore.
