It may sound as of I’m contradicting myself here. If I think that this is such a good movie, why have I only seen it once, over 30 yeas ago? Well, for the life of me, I’ve never seen it offered on any cable channel through all these years. It may have aired on HBO or Showtime, but I probably didn’t have those channels at the time. Also, “1984” isn’t the ‘Feel Good’ laugh riot movie that would prompt stations to run it.

In the past I’ve noted how I’m never satisfied with my caricatures, with my drawings of famous people. But I am pretty happy with my drawings of Burton and Hurt here.

And yes, tomorrow I’ll tell the story of what and who I encountered that night I saw this film, on December 14, 1984.
