Even though we have an incredibly large backlog of work and all of those millions of hours on our schedule, I’m still a bit concerned about my job. It’s not because of my work, everyone from Siemens to the customers themselves sound happy with it, it’s just that I’ve “been down this road before”. I’ve been laid off over five times during my career and it’s an ugly, helpless feeling. Throw in this pandemic and despite the rosy forecast news, forgive me if I’m not going to do handstands over it.
