I can’t tell you how happy I was to see that street crew working on the burst pipes. When I couldn’t get any water, my first thought was, “Damn! My pipes must have burst!” And if that would have been the case, it would mean contacting a plumber, missing a day (or days ) of work and shelling out a bunch of money. BUT- since it was the street pipes that burst and not the pipes on my property, no cost to me. *whew!*

Also, a quick shout out to those two guys I met working out in the freezing cold, knee deep in freezing cold water, at the crack of dawn. Kudos to them, the unsung heroes.
