I’m not going to reveal the cost quote they gave me, only because it’s pretty large, but suffice to say it’s cheaper than buying a brand new car. Though, that’s not saying much.

Look, I’m very fortunate right now, because of the sale of my house I have a “healthy” checking account and living with my mom, temporarily, even with the monthly costs of storing all my worldly goods, it’s much cheaper than renting an apartment. But I know that the bulk of my funds will eventually be turned around purchasing a new house. I can’t (shouldn’t) touch that money.

But still, with the cost of my move and now this unexpected expense, (and my mom’s current condition) it’s smacking me with a large dose of reality!
