Whenever I look for a house I always make sure it has a garage. It’s one of my non-negotiable must haves. The house I had in Kansas City had a detached garage and this one and the house I had in Audubon have attached garages. I figure the second most expensive item I own, after the house of course, is my car, so why not have shelter protection for it too. Of course, everywhere I’ve lived have cold winters, so by having my car in a garage means no ice scraping or digging out of snow for me on a work day morning.

And with the sub-zero temperatures we’re having it’s even more important that I have a garage. Well, that is until I have to get out of the car.
