When I saw that pack of batteries my first thought, after realizing that I didn’t see it in the cart when I was checking out, was that I should take it back to the store. After all, I hadn’t paid for it. Then I thought, well, that could be a pain. I mean, will they believe me when I say that I mistakingly hadn’t paid for it? Should I just walk back into the store, back to a self checkout, scan it and pay for it?

Eh. I put it in a bag, closed the trunk and drove home.

So I guess, now I’m a criminal.
