In 1969 ABC premiered a drama/comedy (an early dramedy?) called “Room 222”. It centered on Pete Dixon (Lloyd Haynes) an American History teacher at Walt Whitman High School. Among the cast was School Counselor (and Pete’s girlfriend) Liz Mcintyre (Denise Nicholas), Principal Seymore Kaufman (Michael Constantine) and Enlish teacher Alice Johnson (Karen Valentine). The show ran for five seasons.
