I’m not going to say how much it cost. I’ve learned over the years that if you buy something or pay for repairs and tell others how much it cost, there’s invariably someone who’ll say “Oh, you paid too much! You should have tried ______ or bought _______ or paid for _______.” Telling people that you think they made a rotten deal or paid too much AFTER the fact, to me, is unnecessary. The deal’s done.

Unless someone asks for your opinion on the cost of something, making a “I could have saved you $$$$$.” comment, after the fact, I don’t know, just sounds like piling on to me.
