Daily Comic Journal: February 17, 2022: “That’s A Dozen Done.”
There’s not much more I could add here. I looked back 365 days prior to this day to see what I wrote on this comic’s 11th anniversary and here’s what I wrote then:
As I say in this comic, I initially drew these comics just for myself. Usually a very fast drawing with sloppy lettering (if you’ve ever gone back in my archives to read the comics I drew in the first few months of 2010 you can see what I’m talking about).
But I began e-mailing some of the comics that I particularly liked to friends. Their positive response led me to post these comics on Facebook and eventually to this site. Who knows, maybe someday a publisher will see and read my comics and recognize (like I do) that they’d make a hell of a book.
Either way, I’ll keep drawing these until….. who knows.
I enjoy your efforts, Richard, and I commend your dedication. Early congratulations on your upcoming 14th anniversary.
Thanks! Frankly, after a dozen years I can’t think of a day without drawing these comics.
