Now, have I really seen “It’s a Wonderful Life” now, 39 times? Well, NBC has owned exclusive rights to the film, airing it every Christmas Eve, since 1993. I’m sure I’ve watched it every year so that would mean I’ve watched it on NBC 28 times. Prior to 1993 it had been in the public domain since 1974. So, conservatively I’m sure I watched it at least 11 times during those 19 years (sometimes multiple times because a myriad of stations was showing it during the 1980’s) making it a total of 39 times.
