It’s kind of creepy walking through the lobby (and this is a LARGE lobby) leaving the last movie that was playing. All of the employees have cleaned up everything that they could (they had to wait for us to leave this last playing screen before they could clean our area out) so as we make our way to the exits, lights have been turned off and it’s eerily quiet.

Years ago many big budget films, like this Spider-Man film, would have midnight shows on Thursday night on the weekend it was released. I liked those midnight shows (and if you’ve been reading these since 2010 I’ve talked about going to midnight shows many times) but in recent years they’ve eliminated them and just start the films on Thursday evenings. I think they did that so the employees wouldn’t have to work so late.
