The conclusion to this comic may seem a bit contradictory, especially if you read all of my comics during my years of unemployment. If I was offered a supervisor position, somewhere, back during my days of fruitless job searching, yeah, I would have jumped at it. But now, with those shitty six months at American Textile Company fresh on my mind, I guess what I really want now is, to enjoy my daily job.

Now, I get in by 7:00, put on some music or podcasts on my phone, just design and draw for eight hours, then go home. My salary’s pretty decent, I get over 20 days of PTO and because I work for the zone and my boss isn’t in this office, anally looking over my shoulders (like my manager at ATC did) this is a relaxed atmosphere.

Why take a position that’s just going to add unneeded stress?
