Daily Comic Journal: August 27, 2019: “Saturated Morning.”
I had a mini panic there. Those stem caps for the tires are so tiny and so very important. If I would have lost that cap, I’d have to drive on a tire that, with no cap would constantly be leaking air. Then, would have to find someplace that would have a duplicate cap to sell me (and would probably charge me an outrageous amount), well… it would have been a huge pain in the ass. Fortunately I found it.
Though I still had to spend most of the morning sitting at my desk at work, in wet clothes.
If your tires leak air when the valve caps are off, you need new valve stems. The cap is to protect the valve mechanism from dirt and other foreign material.
I do hate being wet at work, but since I got laid off this week, I don’t have to worry about that any more.
Have a happy Thanksgiving.
Damn, I’m sorry to hear about that. I’d say that I know what you’re going through, but if you’ve been reading these for any length of the, you’d know that already. I’d also give you advice on your job search but., well, you know….
Good luck!
Thanks, Richard. I empathized with you when reading your job search experience comics from when I was laid off in 1994. This time around, though, there’s a lot less pressure – my youngest kid is a 26-year old college graduate vs. a 6-week old baby. In fact, this time is just a slightly earlier than anticipated retirement. The big hassle now is getting Medicare set up before the end of the month.
