About eight years ago, when I was dating Maria*, when I’d visit her at her house I had to remind myself not to have my car windows open, at certain times of the year. She didn’t live too far from Kennet Square, Pennsylvania . Kennett Square, if you didn’t know, is known as the Mushroom Capital of the World, because mushroom farming in the region produces over 500 million pounds of mushrooms a year. Let me tell you, mushroom season in that area produces one hell of a stench! So, these patches of mushroom mulch composts is kind of like a miniature Kennett Square.
