I ‘ve been living 24/7 at the house for about a week now and have been putting this off until tonight. I really drenched the nest with the spray but because the nest was so well hidden within the branches of the hedge (damn clever those hornets) that I needed to be nearer than I’d preferred, in order to get the spray between the leaves and into the nest itself.
