This is a comic that will probably only be interesting to anyone who, like me, watched a lot of TV shows from the ’60’s, ’70’s and ’80’s. I’ve seen so many programs from that era that I’m as familiar with the supporting character actors and actresses as I am with the stars of the shows. It helped that many of these thespians would appear a multitude of times over a vast array of series. Along with the five men I’ve highlighted here I could have included at least five more men and women.

While I don’t expect anyone to recognize these men, by their names or images, I’m guessing that at least John Vernon would strike a chord with some, since he famously portrayed Dean Wormer in “Animal House”.
