I didn’t have room to get into the details of what Shorkey Auto has done to the area where the neighborhood I grew up at. He bought land around half of the neighborhood, removed all the trees and flattened the land to… park vehicles. I should point out that this hand is across the highway from his showroom and not attached to their lot. He bought land about a half a mile away on the other side of the neighborhood to… park cars. Also, because he has land on either side of the highway he often uses that section of route 30 as his “own private road”.
The land and woods that used to be around there gave the neighborhood a comfortable feeling. But now, not so much. Am I so desperate to find a job, that I’d really want to work there?
